RAINBOW : deep purple + elf

El guitarrista original (y a la vez uno de los mejores de la historia) de deep purple ,Ritchie Blackmore, crea una banda de hard rock y heavy metal en los periodos en los que no estuvo con deep purple (1975 a 1984) y (1994 a 1997) . el estilo es parecido al de su anterior banda y destaca el vocalista "ronnie james dio" (muy conocido como "DIO" en su carrera en solitario) ; aunque tambien tuvo varios buenos integrantes como roger glover y don airey (que luego se fueron a deep purple) y graham bonnet , ya que la formacion sufria muchos cambios .
